Eureka provides complete information security solution to Asian Cotton Mills

Eureka Technology Partners (ETP) has provided an end-to-end information security solution package to Asian Cotton Mills Ltd (ASCOT) following a security assessment of ASCOT's IT infrastructure.
The move comes after a preliminary IT security assessment, which covered areas such as perimeter security, router and firewall configuration, remote access, server security, desktop security and network security, with the goal of enhancing the clients existing security posture.
"While most clients have good security solutions in place, this type of security audits play an important role in terms of identifying vulnerabilities that remain outside the purview of day-to-day security practices," said Vice President of IT, Eureka Technology Partners Sulaiman Razmik.
Lanka well positioned to capitalise on Offshore IT Infrastructure Management space

IT Infrastructure Management company, Eureka Technology Partners (ETP), announced that they have signed a major contract and strategic partnership with UST Global, an IT services company headquartered in the U.S. ETP will remotely manage 6,000 desktops in ten countries from their ISO 20000 certified Network Operating Center (NOC) in Sri Lanka.
This is a significant step for both Eureka and Sri Lanka as it clearly positions the country as a destination for offshore IT Infrastructure Management services.
In the ‘90s software development was being offshored. This was followed by BPO services in the early part of this decade. The third phase of offshoring is Remote Infrastructure Management.
Munasinghe joins Eureka Board

A consortium of investors led by Prof. Munasinghe,Vice Chair UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, and Rajan Anandan from the Indian Angel Network (IAN) and the Head of Dell India have bought a minority stake in Eureka Technology Partners (ETP).
ETP is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) with a trans-national business footprint covering Sri Lanka and select countries in Europe, with future plans of covering the Middle East, USA, Europe and the Indian sub-continent.
Eureka intends to provide world class managed services at affordable prices for the international SME market.

In what is arguably the first high profile foreign investment in a local IT company Rajan Anandran, of the Indian Angel Network (IAN), and Professor Mohan Munasingha, Nobel laureate and chair of the UN panel on climate change, have taken a minority stake in Eureka technology partners, one of Sri Lanka’s IT pioneers.
Eureka specializes in Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) - managing the IT infrastructure of companies remotely.

Eureka wins first ever ISO 20000 Certificate

Eureka Technology Partners received the first ever ISO 20000 Certification in Sri Lanka for its world class information Security and IT infrastructure management services.
“We have world class standards, world class people, using this system which is similar to the the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) system of best practices and the Six Sigma process methodologyâ€, Eureka Technology Partners CEO Direnda Wimalasekera said. Globally there are only a few companies that have been granted the ISO 20000 certificate, and Eureka has been the first in Sri Lanka to achieve it. Developed nations and regions namely Singapore, France, Italy and the Middle East have only received the certified provider each so far, he added.
