IT (Information Technology) is a science which is constantly changing emerging as a scientific discipline out of research and development activities in the fields of technology, data base technology, software technology, video technology and communication technology, to the adaptation to a vital part of everyday life. Our country experienced a boost and adaptation towards IT following the technology boom in Sri Lanka. The opportunities available in the IT and ICT sectors are rich, yet Sri Lanka is absent with regards to the talent inheriting as there is a lack of awareness within the mass – realized by the government, and the resistance to change – change is inevitable in IT.
