SLT ties-up to offer BIT degree

Sri Lanka Telecom entered into a partnership with the Moratuwa University to conduct the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) external degree program at its established Training Centre at Welisara.

The agreement was signed at the Sri Lanka Telecom premises on Monday.

Sri Lanka Telecom Chairperson Leisha De Silva Chandrasena and the Moratuwa University Vice Chancellor Prof. Malik Ranasinghe signed the agreement.

BIT is a nationally and internationally recognized ICT degree program that involves a minimum of three years of study.

The benefits to students of following the BIT Degree program at the Sri Lanka Telecom Training Centre are multi-fold.

The students will receive a highly recognized qualification from one of the leading technological universities in Sri Lanka, the University of Moratuwa.

It is expected that there will be a high demand in the industry for BIT graduates.

The lectures will be conducted at the Welisara Sri Lanka Telecom Training Centre by a lecture panel of highly experienced and talented engineers who have been trained in Sri Lanka as well as abroad and who are experts in the relevant fields. Students are assured of an education of premium quality.

The Training Centre is also equipped with modern training facilities which include modern laboratories.
