Cisco, SLIIT organize competition

Cisco and Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) organized the Third National Cisco Skills Competition in Sri Lanka. The day-long competition saw participation of 150 students from 50 teams comprising three students each from four Cisco networking academies. The three winning teams from the SLIIT - Colombo (1st Place), SLIIT - Malabe (Second Place) and SLIIT - Colombo (Third Place) will represent Sri Lanka at the SAARC Skills Competition scheduled for end September and the winner will represent Sri Lanka at the APAC Skills Competition on October 28 2010.

SLIIT puts Sri Lanka on the World Map

Sri Lankan team from Sri Lanka Institute of Technology (SLIIT), became the 1st runner-up in the Asia Pacific NetRiders Skills Competition 2009 held on October 29 beating 15 other countries across Asia Pacific over Tele Presence and Webex.

Sri Lanka competed with countries like Australia, Hong Kong, China, India, Korea, New Zealand and Singapore to win this competition.

The MoU was signed by Madu Ratnayake, General Manager Virtusa Corporation, Sri Lanka, and Prof. Sam Karunaratne Chairman/President of SLIIT.
