CIMA, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) officially launched the new designation-Chartered Global Management Accountant-CGMA in New York and London simultaneously for its members.

CIMA Sri Lanka achieves highest pass rate of 68%

CIMA Sri Lanka broke several records last year, chief among those being achieving a 10% year on year growth in registrations to 4.057 and for the first time beating UK by achieving the highest pass rate of 68% as opposed to London’s 64% in the May 2011 exam.

CIMA (The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Sri Lanka Division inducted its Board for the year 2012 at the Cinnamon Grand on January 4, 2012. Union Assurance PLC (UA) Chief Executive Officer Dirk Pereira was elected as the Chairman of the CIMA Sri Lanka Board, whilst KPMG Ford Rhodes Thornton and Co Partner - Head of Advisory Services Reyaz Mihular and Hatton National Bank PLC Managing Director/CEO Rajendra Theagarajah was appointed as Deputy and Vice Chairman respectively. Over 300 CIMA members attended and witnessed this event.
